Happy Birthday!

Some things to read on President's Day.

We did a little research and found out about George Washington's use of codes, ciphers, and spies during the American Revolution. The boys made cipher wheels during a recent history museum class and have been using them to create secret messages. They have even come up with their own codes to try to stump each other. http://www.monticello.org/reports/interests/wheel_cipher.html has some history behind Jefferson's cipher wheel and some good photos of one.

We might even have a National Treasure movie matinee marathon!
